Introduction

 

Lantmännen Cooperative and its group companies ("Lantmännen" or "we") process the personal data of visitors and users of our websites, mobile applications and social media platforms ("Digital Channels"), as well as the personal data of individuals who participate in our campaigns or any of the Lantmännen Group companies'competitions organised by the Defence Forces or who contact us with customer problems.

This privacy policy describes how we process your personal data, what rights you have in relation to the processing and what cookies are used in connection with the Digital Channels.

This version of the data protection policy has been applied to Vaasan Oy's digital channels.

Your privacy is important to Lantmännen and we strive to provide a high level of protection in all processing of personal data. Lantmännen processes all personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws. In the EU/EEA, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies from 25 May 2018. As the majority of Lantmännen's companies are covered by European legislation, this data protection policy is based on the GDPR. Local data protection legislation outside the EU/EEA will be taken into account where appropriate.

Specific information about personal data may be provided in connection with Lantmännen's Digital Channels and will be applied primarily before these general instructions.

 

What is personal data?

Personal data refers to any information that can be directly or indirectly linked to a living, natural person in connection with the use of other data. This means that various data such as name, contact details, IP addresses, competition entries, purchase history, case data and photographs are personal data.

 

What personal data do we collect about you?

When you visit our Digital Channels

When you visit or use our Digital Channels, we may collect information that you choose to provide to us, such as your name, mailing address, email address, and phone number. We may also collect personal data through cookies, as described under the heading "About cookies – and how to avoid them".

When you participate in contests, other marketing events, evaluations, or product testing

If you participate in competitions or other marketing events organised by any company belonging to Lantmännen, your entries and other necessary information about you (e.g. for prize distribution) will be processed. If you participate in an evaluation of any of Lantmännen's products, your reviews and suggestions, as well as information about your gender and age, will also be processed. If you participate in product testing, we will also process information about any food allergies you may have.

When you contact our customer service, join an outlet club or otherwise contact us

When you contact us, for example, if you have a question from customer service or if you have questions about a complaint about a product manufactured by any of Lantmännen's internal companies, in addition to your basic and contact information, we may process information related to the case, your customer number, complaints, requests and other information. that you give us about yourself during the communication. Only information that you have reported yourself either by calling, sending an email, sending a letter or filling in an electronic form on the Vaasan.fi website will be entered in the register.

When you join our outlet club in the store by filling in a paper form, or by filling in an electronic form on the Vaasan.fi website, we only collect information about your email address. The rest of the information you provide is voluntary. You can check the information you have provided at the end of each outlet email via the link "Edit your information". You also have the right to prohibit the controller from processing your data. For this purpose, there is a link "Unsubscribe" at the end of each email, which you can click to delete your data from the register.

As part of the implementation of the service, data is transferred outside the EU/EEA area, for example. to our subcontractors. We ensure that the data transfer is carried out using the protection mechanisms required by data protection legislation at any given time, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or the Privacy Shield system."

Purposes of processing your personal data

We process your personal data for various purposes, depending on whether you visit our Digital Channels, participate in our competitions, other marketing events, evaluations or product testing, or contact us for other reasons:

  • To deliver the services or products you have ordered and to administer our contracts with you;
  • To respond to your requests and communicate with you (e.g., handling returns and damages, complaints or comments, etc.);
  • To handle legal transactions and respond to them, e.g. in the event of a dispute or litigation;
  • To administer events, competitions and prizes. Competition entries may be published in connection with marketing;
  • To monitor and evaluate Lantmännen's products, for example through taste testing panels;
  • To maintain, develop, test and improve the Digital Channels and the technical platforms delivered to them;
  • To create statistics regarding the use of the Digital Channels; and
  • To market the products and services of Lantmännen's companies (including via e-mail and text or picture messages) that may be of interest to you. Lawful basis for processing your personal data

Lantmännen will always process your personal data in accordance with applicable law. We process your personal data when it is necessary for the performance of a contract with you and to deal with any complaints or other problems. We also process your personal data when we have another legitimate interest and legitimate reason to do so, such as marketing our company to visitors to Digital Channels, developing Digital Channels or communicating with you (e.g. through customer service).

If Lantmännen would process your data for any purpose that requires your consent in accordance with applicable data protection laws, we will obtain this consent in advance.

 

Abolition

Lantmännen will only process your personal data for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which the processing is carried out. We have defined the necessary measures to ensure that your data is deleted after this.

 

Safeguards to protect personal data

Lantmännen protects your personal data with a high level of protection and has implemented the necessary technical and organizational safeguards for this purpose to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, alteration, dissemination and destruction. Access to the data is only available to those persons who have a need for it due to their work.

 

Restrictions on the disclosure of information

Lantmännen may appoint external partners to perform activities on behalf of Lantmännen, such as providing IT services or assisting with marketing, data analysis and statistics. Providing these services may mean that Lantmännen's partners both outside and inside the EU/EEA have access to your personal data. Companies that process personal data on behalf of Lantmännen must always sign an agreement with Lantmännen so that we can ensure a high level of protection of personal data also in the hands of our partners. Special safeguards are implemented in the case of a partner outside the EU/EEA, such as the signing of contracts that include standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission and available on the European Commission's website.

Lantmänsen may also disclose personal data to third parties, such as the police and public authorities, if it is related to a criminal investigation or if we are otherwise required by law or official decisions to disclose this data.

Lantmännen does not disclose your personal data to any extent other than as described in this section.

How to avoid cookies
